44TH EUROPEAN CALCIFIED TISSUE SOCIETY CONGRESS
Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 44th European Calcified Tissue Society Congress, to take place from 13 to 16 May 2017 in the beautiful Austrian city of Salzburg.
ECTS serves as a forum for researchers and clinicians working in the musculoskeletal field to join forces, discover and discuss the latest advances and controversies in research and in the daily care of patients.
The 2017 ECTS Programme will offer:
An exciting programme of invited speaker lectures featuring some of the world’s leading experts in the field
Meet the Professor sessions
Dedicated New Investigator sessions
Joint ECTS-ASBMR debate and lecture
A high proportion of submitted abstracts selected for the oral programme
Well-attended poster sessions with dedicated poster viewing time
A busy poster and exhibition area with lunch included in the delegate fee
Company-supported satellite symposia highlighting some of the latest developments in therapy and research
One of the great successes of the ECTS scientific programme over time has been due to the principle of bridging the gaps between translational research and clinical application. The Scientific Programme Committee has continued to develop the programme based on this successful format and has created a stimulating and varied agenda.
With more than 500 abstracts regularly submitted over recent years ECTS congresses are renowned for their high scientific quality and we expect the Salzburg meeting to be no exception. We have also noticed an increase in submissions from further afield which shows us that the ECTS audience is definitely spreading well beyond Europe! There will be plenty of opportunities for you to showcase and discuss your work, with a significant proportion of time set aside for oral and poster presentations, which will include poster tours and e-poster options.
As in previous congresses, ECTS 2017 will include a New Investigator programme fully developed by the ECTS New Investigator Committee. This dedicated programme will enable our more junior colleagues to meet, network, share common interests and boost their own collaborative projects and career at an international level.
Last, but not least, ECTS will give you the opportunity to meet and exchange information with industry partners during sponsored sessions and the exhibition area.
Famous as the birthplace of Mozart, but with three Universities and several scientific research centers, the city of Salzburg is renowned not only for its cultural history but also for its contribution to research in science and medicine. Situated in Central Europe, the city is easily accessible from every corner of the globe through the major European transportation hubs. The congress will be held in the Salzburg Congress Center, a versatile, modern and spacious venue, perfect in size and location for ECTS, and within easy walking distance from a range of hotels in all price categories.
We look forward to welcoming you in Salzburg for another stimulating and rewarding ECTS Congress!
