49th Annual New York Cardiovascular Symposium 2016
The goal of this course is for participants to incorporate the most recent advances in cardiovascular care including developments in the diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease, and to ensure clinical relevance for translation to practice.
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to —
Recognize emerging clinical evidence on the assessment and management of risk factors in patients with, or at increased risk for cardiovascular and coronary artery disease
Debate the new understanding of methods, technologies and timing of treatment for acute coronary syndromes
Identify the methods and timing of treatment for chronic coronary and systemic arterial disease
Summarize key scientific concepts in trends and challenges of approaching prevention of cardiovascular disease
Evaluate contemporary approaches, treatment and management strategies for patients with systolic heart failure and rhythm disorders
Identify the current challenges in managing aortic valve disease, IHSS and mitral regurgitation
Review the progress of 2016 in novelties introduced in the topics of genetics, cell regeneration, and molecular signaling

This course is intended for cardiovascular specialists, internists, family physicians, advanced practice nurses, nurses in cardiology and physician assistants.
