Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am proud to announce that BIT's 4th Annual World Congress of Orthopaedics 2017 (WCORT-2017) will be held during September 22-24, 2017 in Taiyuan, China. And I cordially invite you to present your research results and bring your invaluable experience to our conference.

BIT's 4th Annual World Congress of Orthopaedics 2017 (WCORT-2017) is hosted by Shanxi Medical Association, The Second Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, co-organized by Shanxi Nursing Association, supported by Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics, Orthopaedic Surgery, Journal of Practical Orthopaedics, and operated by BIT Group Global Ltd.. Our conference will bring over 300 leading orthopedic surgeons and scientists to discuss the practical challenges, concerns and strategies in this field, who are from more than 50 countries and regions. It offers a great opportunity for orthopaedic physicians, clinicians and scientists, at any stage in their career, to present, develop their own technique, research, and network with other orthopedic experts. And we are expecting over 2000 professional audiences to join this grant event.

WCORT-2017 will feature three days of world-leading plenary lectures, cutting-edge symposia, high-quality oral communications, and lively poster sessions, which covers a wide range of themes in orthopaedic area including Spine, Joint, Trauma, Bone Tumor, Orthopaedic Microsurgery, Pediatric Orthopaedics, Foot and Ankle, Sports Medicine, Minimally Invasive Orthopaedic Surgery, Orthopaedic Reconstruction, Osteoporosis, Orthopaedic Nursing, Digital Orthopaedics, Orthopaedic Biomechanics Materials. Moreover, you would explore further communication and collaboration through social activities during the conference.

Taiyuan, as an over 2500 years old city, is the capital and largest city of Shanxi province in North China. Its strategic location and rich history make Taiyuan one of the economic, political, military, and cultural centers of Northern China. Taiyuan is also famous for its cultural relics and beautiful landscapes. It has 5 historical and cultural sites under state-level protection, 17 under provincial-level protection, and 67 under municipal-level protection.

Submission Info

There will be an exhibition of posters at the conference and the abstracts of accepted posters will be published in the conference program. You will be notified if your abstract has been accepted for poster presentation as soon as it has been reviewed by the organizing committee. All accepted posters will be presented during the Poster Viewing Session. Posters will be reviewed for oral presentation 4-6 weeks prior to the conference. Oral presenters will be notified by email or telephone at least 3 weeks before the conference. The selected presenters will be posted on the agenda.

Materials to hang your poster will be available at the poster area. The set-up time is TBA. You will receive your poster number 4-6 weeks prior to the conference.

Your presence is recommended during lunches and coffee breaks for discussion with those who are interested in your research.

Poster Abstracts Format 

Posters will be judged during the conference. You are invited to submit a poster abstract on one of the themes from the conference for presentation in poster format. Posters should be based upon original and ongoing research. Abstracts should be submitted online by July 31, 2017.

Abstracts Must Be Submitted Electronically. They Should Be in the Following Format: 

*Title in block capital letters

*Author(s) and principal affiliations. Presenting author should be named first.

*Abstract text, no more than 500 words. You may include the objective, methods, results and conclusion. The presenter should prepare some copies of their paper with a business card to be distributed to interested participants.

*A list of references is optional (no more than 5)

Poster Instructions: Guidelines 

*Regular poster size is 70 cm (wide) by 90 cm (high)

*The text should be readable by visitors standing 1.5 meters away from the poster

*You may display your poster during the conference

Remark: For Poster Registration Only 

1. If you are planning to attend our conference the poster exhibition fee is separate from the registration fee for the rest of the conference events. The abstract of the poster will be included in the proceedings of the conference and we will provide space for poster exhibition. Please print the poster prior to your arrival. 

2. If you are not attending the conference, the abstract of your poster will be included in the proceedings of the conference, please send soft copy of poster abstract before July 31, 2017.
