Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate the application of Doppler principles to assessing hemodynamics, including valvular heart disease
- Demonstrate use of echocardiography to assess prosthetic valves
- Demonstrate and interpret diastolic echocardiographic measurements
- Define advantages of stress echocardiography and use of contrast
- Apply echocardiographic principles in assessment of congestive heart failure
- Identify echocardiographic features of common congenital heart abnormalities
- Define the role of echo in the interventional cardiology practice
- Recognize the advantages and disadvantages of new imaging techniques, including 3-D and strain

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests with special course rates of $185 per night, single or double occupancy, at the Marriott Marco Island Beach & Golf.
In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2014, whichever comes first. Following this date, reservations are taken based on space and rate availability.
Make an online reservation or call 800-438-4373 (toll-free) or 239-394-2511 and identify yourself as a participant of the Echo course when making your reservation.
Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. High speed Internet is complimentary in all guest rooms within our block of rooms, as well as complimentary access to the resort fitness center. No resort fee is added to the rate.
Lodging arrangements are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.
Travel
Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Fla., is the recommended airport for arrival. The hotel is approximately one hour from the Fort Myers Airport.
Naples Transportation & Tours DMC provides round-trip ground transportation between the airport and the resort with advance reservations. Please visit the live web link at least 72 hours in advance of your arrival to make reservations. The rate for a three-passenger sedan is $95, and the rate for an eight-passenger van is $175. A 20% chauffeur gratuity is applied to these rates.
If you prefer to rent a car while on property, Hertz car rental is located in the hotel. The direct phone number for reservations is 239-394-3322.
A $5 discount is offered on valet parking at the hotel. Self-parking is complimentary.
