4th Asian Single Port VATS Symposium
Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) #
Taipei, TAIWANOn behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to announce that the 4th Asian Single Port VATS Symposium (ASPVS) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from April 9-10, 2016.
The advances in preoperative diagnostic and staging tools, high-resolution image and staging systems, endoscopic instruments, as well as the huge patient demand in Asia, have provided great opportunities for surgeons in this region to achieve tremendous progress in the era of minimally invasive chest surgery. In particular, single port VATS has become very popular in Asia, and we should all be proud of our successes which ultimately benefits the patients.
The scope of this year’s Congress includes the following topics
1. Practice and teaching in Asia and Europe
2. Advance and novel techniques in single port VATS
3. 3D image application on preoperative simulation and training for chest surgery
4. Live surgery demonstration from the experts
Importantly, we have also invited the most outstanding experts in the field of multiport, robotic techniques to share their experience. They will highlight the advantages of each approach, and provide inspiration for all of us. Together, there will be opportunities for in-depth and fruitful debates on the different approaches to minimally invasive chest surgery.
On a lighter note, Taipei is also a vibrant and beautiful place to visit. Taiwan is famous for our friendly people, exquisite culture, and wonderful cuisine. We warmly welcome every one of you and hope you enjoy your stay in Taiwan.
