Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the European Academy of Neurology and the Portuguese Society of Neurology, we are pleased to invite you to the 4th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) taking place in Lisbon, Portugal from June 16-19, 2018.

The overarching theme for the Lisbon congress will be ‘Neurogenetics’. Diagnosis and treatment are increasingly using genetic methods and one purpose of the congress is to highlight clinically useful aspects of genetic medicine in Neurology. But as always, progress in all fields of neurology will be presented and participants will be updated about recent developments and news in clinical neurology. The selection of the educational programme is meanwhile organised within a newly adapted 5-year EAN educational curriculum. This curriculum is covering all important aspects a neurologist should learn and update in this period.

Lisbon is a modern town, easily accessible from almost everywhere, where you can enjoy the hospitality of its people, walking around town exploring culture, arts and food. The charming capital of Portugal is located by the wide estuary of Tagus River where you will find scenic views from almost every corner. Here, you can absorb the unique scent of the near Mediterranean, mild and pleasant climate of early summer and the peculiar luminosity of a blue sky reflected on its white ancient houses in historic areas. Lisbon is dominated by its castle, more than one thousand years old, with a unique view. This is a city full of history where you may feel the ambiance of the old arab neighborhood of Alfama and Mouraria, where Fado, the national sentimental song, was born. Needless to say that it was from Lisbon, that the navigators left to discover the world and you can meet history at several museums and monuments.

EAN and the Portuguese Society of Neurology are looking forward to welcome the European neurological community to celebrate the strength and beauty of our field and to get inspired by meeting with colleagues and friends.

Group Reservations

Individual Reservations

Participants can book their hotel room via the registration system. Full prepayment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) is mandatory. After a successful booking, each participant will receive a written confirmation/invoice.

Reservation - Online booking

Participants can book the hotel room together with their online registration or separately. 

Payment Policy

For online reservations full credit card payment is required. After a successful reservation you will receive a written confirmation by e-mail. When checking out, all extras (mini-bar, telephone charges, room service, etc.) must be settled with the hotel directly.

General Terms & Conditions

Reservations can only be made online and payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) is mandatory. 

For cancellations until 28th March 2018, a handling fee of EUR 60.00 applies.

Cancellations after this date will be charged as follows:

29th March – 02nd May 2018: One night penalty

from 03rd May 2018: Reservation is charged in full

Cancellations of individual nights (i.e. date changes) are also considered as cancellations and will be charged as such.
