On behalf of the Latin American Society for Immunodeficiencies (LASID), it is a privilege to introduce the website that will be from now on, the online place of the IV Congress of LASID (LASID2015). And it is also exciting to tell you that the splendid and romantic city of Buenos Aires (Argentina) will be the site of our most important scientific and medical biennial event. LASID2015 will bring together researchers, physicians, residents from medical specialties and personnel lined with Health Services and members of many patient organizations around the theme of the Primary immunodeficiencies (PID), in what has become the largest scientific event in Central and South America on these diseases.

Our Society’s name might be young but its accomplishments date back to more than 20 years ago when LAGID was created and it is the product of the continuous work of countless doctors and researchers who have devoted much of their lives to promote the well being of patients affected by PID in Latin America. This conglomerate of people with exceptional cultures coming from more than 20 countries have been contributing to the development of research and clinical practice around the PID, and now will have the opportunity to sit together again and share the latest advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases, and enjoy the company of old and new friends around a program designed for the educational benefit of all members and friends of LASID.

The excellent results of previous events in Cartagena (Colombia), Mexico City (Mexico) and Santiago (Chile) are showing the progress we've been accomplishing as a Group and as a Society in recent years. This success has its roots from an average attendance of more than 500 people from virtually every country in Latin America and other regions of the world, as well as the active participation of renowned national and international speakers, the unconditional support of scientific societies such as the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID for short English), the Clinical Immunology Society of the United States (CIS), international patient organizations such as the Jeffrey Modell Foundation and the International patient Organization for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI) to name a few, and of course the strong support of the pharmaceutical industry and many entities from governments of some countries of Latin America.

I want to thank the President of LASID2015, Dr. Liliana Bezrodnik and her group as well as the local organizing committee and those from other countries who are working together to make this meeting a reality and a sound success, for their dedication and commitment to give us an unforgettable experience, again. This event will be to remember and as we all carry Argentina in our hearts, I know that LASID2015 will be a fantastic educational experience that will surely benefit patients in all our countries.

Abstract will be peer-reviewed and those submitted to LASID (see below) and accepted for

the Meeting be published in a special supplement of the Journal of Clinical Immunology

(Springer). Abstracts submitted to SAI or FAIC (see below) and accepted for the Meeting

will not be published in the special supplement of the Journal of Clinical Immunology, but

will be included in the Congress book.

Authors will be notified about the final decision of acceptance by the end of July and

September 2015.

• Only abstracts submitted through the on-line system will be considered.

• Correct submissionof the abstract will be automatically announced to all

authors by email.

• The submitting author will receive a confirmation email of acceptance or

rejection of the abstract. Please contact the Secretariat if you have not

received the confirmation about the reception of your abstract.

• Abstract will be identified by a unique number assigned by the system (ID).

Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
