On behalf of the Asian Facial Plastic Surgery Society (AFPSS) and the local organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend 5th AFPSS meeting at 15th - 19th October 2014 in Cappadocia, Turkey.
Speakers from all over the globe, representing not only Asia but all continents, will cover different aspects of rhinoplasty and other facial plastic procedures in an unusual location, a cave-meeting hall with modern comfort. Our mission is to encourage friendship and facilitate communication between ENT and facial plastic surgeons from east and west.
October is a great time of the year in Cappadocia, which is Turkey's most visually striking region, especially the "moonscape" area, where erosion has formed caves, clefts, pinnacles, "fairy chimneys" and sensuous folds in the soft volcanic rock.
The Bible's New Testament tells of Cappadocia, but in fact this part of central Anatolia has been important since Hittite times, long before the time of Jesus.
Prime activities here are visiting the historic painted cave churches of the many monastic valleys, flying in a hot-air balloon at dawn above the incredible landscape, hiking the volcanic valleys. It has always been one of Anatolia's prime grape-growing areas, and still boasts many productive vineyards and wineries.
