We are especially delighted to welcome you in the 6th International Congress of UENPS wich will be held in the city of Valencia from 23 to 25 November 2016.

We have designed a very appealing meeting including cutting edge issues presented by outstanding international speakers in the fields of Neonatology and Perinatology. The spirit of UENPS promoting active interaction and education will be highly encouraged, and we are sure that you will have an unforgettable experience from scientific, cultural and social perspective during your stay among us.

Valencia is a beautiful city that was founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago. Our city is located right on the shore of the Mediterranean sea amidst immense white sand beaches, orange and rice fields, beautiful gardens and ancient monuments ranging from the old Roman era to the medieval “Old City” (Barrio del Carmen) that preserves an incredible Middle Age atmosphere with narrow streets, handcraft, buildings, markets, churches, etc.

But Valencia is also a very modern city with a very active University campus, Scientific Institutes, and relevant architecture specially reflected in the City of the Arts and Sciences designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.

The weather is privileged and at the time the meeting is going to take place the average temperature will reach around 20ºC. Last but not least is our Mediterranean cuisine especially rice dishes with vegetables and fish (paella), enormous varieties of fruits and legumes, and generous white and red wines.

I look forward to meeting you all next year in Valencia.
