ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIAWelcome to the 2015 USANZ Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), the 68th Meeting of the Urological communities of Australia and New Zealand.
South Australia will be host to USANZ 2015. The Meeting will take place between 11-14 April, in Adelaide. The Meeting is set to continue the high-quality that has become the USANZ ASM.
Already we have - through the good work of the USANZ staff, the Scientific Committee, the various SAG leaders and myself, secured a number of world renowned experts.
As usual our local expertise within USANZ will be on display beside an exceptional line-up of international faculty that already includes Glenn Preminger, Frank Keeley, Steve Kaplan, Matt Cooperberg, Steven Campbell, Morgan Roupret, Quoc Trinh, Marty Koyle, Roger Dmochowski, Kellogg Parsons, Ann Gormley and Nirit Rosenblum …and that’s just to mention a few. We aim to continue the superb scientific and educational content for which our USANZ ASM has become known.
Adelaide as a venue has undergone much redevelopment; those who haven’t been here recently are in for a pleasant surprise. April is a perfect time to visit, with the weather as accommodating as our city and residents.
I believe South Australia and particularly Adelaide, is Australia’s best kept secret and the experts agree, with the city ranked among the world’s top 10 city destinations by the Lonely Planet guide. Famous for our food and wine, Adelaide and the surrounding areas offer so much more. Culturally, the arts and sciences – and sport - are embraced and readily accessible within the city. Close by are the wine and food regions in picturesque settings and it is a short trip to the breathtaking, pristine Kangaroo Island, Coorong and Flinders Range National Park wilderness areas. If inclined you can see close at hand the great white shark in its natural environment (protected by a cage)……or you could cycle through the Adelaide Hills in the slip stream of the “Tour Down Under - Australia” and the southern hemisphere’s premier cycling event. If a more leisurely approach is to your liking then meet the native flora and fauna at the Cleland Wildlife Park, Port River Dolphins or the Monarto Open Zoo among other offerings.
USANZ 2015 will see the launch of a new initiative and global competition ‘You tell us your secret, and we’ll show you ours…’ encouraging urological researchers from all over the world to submit their abstract to USANZ 2015. Click to find out more!

Podium Presentation
Successful Podium Presenters will be notified of their presentation time in their program allocation e-mail to be sent out later in January 2015. As a guide, podium presentations will be 5 mins duration.
Podium Poster Presentation
Podium Poster Presenters will be notified of their presentation time in their program allocation e-mail to be sent out later in January 2015. As a guide, podium poster presentations will be 3 mins duration. Podium poster presenters will additionally display their poster on a board (see "poster presenter" information below).
Poster Presentation
A poster presentation constitutes a visual display of research projects. Your poster must not extend beyond the boundaries of your display board – one display board will be allocated per poster. The poster display will be an integral part of the program with dedicated times for delegates to interact with poster authors and ask questions. Full details of the format and display of Posters will be communicated to the nominated presenting author at a later date.
Keith Kirkland/Villis Marshall Podium Presentation
Presentations selected for the Keith Kirkland/Villis Marshall Session will be notified of their presentation time in their program allocation e-mail to be sent later in January. As a guide, Keith Kirkland presentations will be 6 mins, and Villis Marshall presentations will be 7 mins duration. Keith Kirkland and Villis Marshall presenters are also expected to prepare a poster presentation to be displayed as per the instructions above under "poster presentation".
