Welcome to the 2016 USANZ Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), the 69th Meeting of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, being held on Queensland’s Gold Coast from 16 to 19 April. With planning well underway before even the 2015 ASM is wrapped up, the Meeting is set to continue the high-quality that has become the USANZ ASM.
Already the Scientific Program Committee, under the Chairmanship of Peter Chin and leading SAG members, has been hard at work securing the attendance of some truly outstanding world-renowned experts.
As usual our local expertise within USANZ will be on display beside an exceptional line-up of international faculty that to date, includes; Michael Cookson, Jonathan I. Epstein, Margit Fisch, Christian Gratzke, Louis Kavoussi, Thomas Knoll, Kathleen Kobashi, Daniel Lin, Armando Lorenzo, Kurt McCammon, James N’Dow, Claus Roehrborn, Run Wang … with more to be announced.
The ASM was last on the Gold Coast in 2009, and you’ll notice some changes have occurred in the past six years such as the completion of a Light Rail network from Broadbeach through the centre of Surfers Paradise and up to Gold Coast University Hospital. Other aspects have not changed – the seemingly endless white sandy beaches stretching as far as you can see in both directions, the beautiful climate allowing you to enjoy a swim even in autumn, and the opportunity to bring your family and let them loose on the many theme parks and other attractions of the coast.
I invite you (and your family) to come to the Gold Coast for USANZ 2016, bring out your own “best”, and stay for a while to enjoy this beautiful beachside city.
