Meetings and EventsA dedicated level of the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel comprises of 669 square metres of versatile function space that is illuminated by natural daylight. The Ballroom which is divisible into two rooms can accommodate up to 180 attendees for either a classroom-style meeting or a sit-down dinner overlooking Little Collins Street. An additional four meeting rooms are designed for board meetings and intimate gatherings. In addition, two pre-function areas are available for registration as well as morning and afternoon tea breaks. All venues are equipped with the latest audio-visual technology to ensure your event is both successful and memorable. We'd like to thank the speakers, attendees and supporting associations who contributed to the success of the 5thAnnual National Dementia Congress in February 2014. Focusing on ‘Making Dementia Care Transformation Happen Today’, the two day conference showcased exciting new cases studies and the latest innovations from across the whole dementia pathway, from diagnosis to end of life.
Key highlights included the interactive roundtable session focused on high-achieving innovative projects that have been implemented in a range of dementia care settings, hands-on sessions with the latest assistive technologies and targeted sessions on risk reduction, societal inclusion, caregiver support and handling stigma.
