Welcome message:

OMICS International is very delighted to invite you all to the 6th Asia-Pacific Pharma Congress (Asia Pharma 2016) scheduled on July 14-16, 2016 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are progressively working for the initiation of new world, perspectives and views in the field of pharmaceutical Sciences. OMICS International is providing a great platform for thousands of pharmacists meet, learn, share and exchange views. We are concentrating on a view that everyone should gain from the conference. So, we are organizing plenary sessions, poster exhibitions and section programs, workshops at the conference.

OMICS International is a world class conference organizer, which have highly talented conference organizers around the globe. We have 50,000 editorial board members for OMICS International journals and we are going to organize 300+ Scientific conferences in year 2015. We publish more than 500 Open access journals for which we have more than 1 million readers and we follow strict review process and after journal is published within 7 days. We endeavor to support and organize a variety of conferences throughout the year as educational opportunities to update knowledge and skills. To know more about the conference series visit:

Asia Pharma 2016 is supported with related journals and their editorial board members which provide a chance of meeting them, along with experts in Medicine, Pharmacological sciences and Pharmaceutical sciences.

Asia Pharma 2016 will be a great event where experts from universities, top Pharmaceutical industries, research centers and from the societies and association related to Pharmaceuticals gather and share their insights. So, all are whole heartedly invited to be a part of this conference.

According to an international research company, in 2012 the size of the global pharmaceutical market reached $940 billion. In monetary terms it grew by 6%. In the future the sector is expected to grow at no less than 3% to 4% a year and if this happens the market will reach $1.2 trillion in 2016 and up to $1.5 trillion by 2020. Another research company, Business Monitor International, has made a forecast for the size and geographical composition of the global pharmaceutical market in 2020. However by 2020, the Asian pharmaceutical market has a share of 33% in global pharmaceutical market.

Track 1: Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Regulatory Affairs:

The importance of intellectual property is well established at all levels-statutory, administrative and judicial. It lays down minimum standards for protection and enforcement in member countries which are required to promote effective and adequate protection of intellectual property rights with a view to reducing distortions and impediments to international trade.

The Agreement provides norms and standards in respect of following areas of intellectual property are Patents, Trademarks, copyrights, Geographical indications, Industrial designs.

Regulatory Affairs contributes essentially to the overall success of drug development, both at early pre-marketing stages and at all times post-marketing. The pharmaceutical industry deals with an increasing number of interesting drug candidates, all of which necessitate the involvement of the Regulatory Affairs department.

Track 2: Pharmacognosy:

Although most pharmacognostic studies focus on plants and medicines derived from plants, other types of organisms are also regarded as pharmacognostically interesting, in particular, various types of microbes (bacteria, fungi, etc.), and, recently, various marine organisms.

Medical ethnobotany: The study of the traditional use of plants for medicinal purposes

Ethno pharmacology: The study of the pharmacological qualities of traditional medicinal substances

Phytotherapy: The study of medicinal use of plant extracts

Phytochemistry: The study of chemicals derived from plants (including the identification of new drug candidates derived from plant sources).

Zoopharmacognosy: The process by which animals self-medicate, by selecting and using plants, soils, and insects to treat and prevent disease.

Marine pharmacognosy: The study of chemicals derived from marine organisms.

Track 3: Pharmaceutics:

It encompasses a molecular evaluation of drug metabolism and transport processes and the study of genetic, environmental and disease-related factors that regulate or perturb those processes, as well as the fundamental mathematical relationships between enzyme/transporter function, blood concentration-time profiles and the spectrum of pharmacological effects.

Track 4: Nanotechnology:

It is a part of science and technology about the control of matter on the atomic and molecular scale - this means things that are about 100 nanometres or smaller.

Nanotechnology brings together scientists and engineers from many different subjects, such as applied physics, materials science, interface and colloid science, device physics, chemistry, supramolecular chemistry (which refers to the area of chemistry that focuses on the non-covalent bonding interactions of molecules), self-replicating machines and robotics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biology, biological engineering, and electrical engineering.

Track 5: Industrial Pharmacy:

Industrial pharmacy is a discipline which includes manufacturing, development, marketing and distribution of drug products including quality assurance of these activities.

Research in industrial pharmacy is done both locally at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmaceutical Technology and in pharmaceutical industry as collaboration projects, licentiate thesis studies.

The research topics are focussed on solving current general problems in pharmaceutical industry, such as formulation and characterisation of sticky amorphous drugs, problem-solving for paediatric medicines and miniaturisation of manufacturing processes.

Track 6: Pharmacology:

It is the study of how medicine and other things have an effect on living organisms and change how they function. The field encompasses drug composition and properties, synthesis and drug design, molecular and cellular mechanisms, organ/systems mechanisms, signal transduction/cellular communication, molecular diagnostics, interactions, toxicology, chemical biology, therapy, and medical applications and anti-pathogenic capabilities.

Track 7: Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a core discipline within Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is centrally engaged in the drug discovery process, mainly focusing on lead finding, lead optimisation and structure-activity relationship investigations, using technologies of computer-aided drug design, natural products chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, and biochemical approaches in a trans-disciplinary combination which is generally known by the term "Medicinal Chemistry".

Track 8: Pharmaceutical Analysis:

It is a process or a sequence of processes to identify and/or quantify a substance or drug, the components of a pharmaceutical solution or mixture or the determination of the structures of chemical compounds used in the formulation of pharmaceutical product. This is mainly used for the separation of the components from the mixture and for the determination of the structure of the compounds.
