Dear Colleagues and Friends,

For the second times, Indonesian Heart Association is appointed to host the 7^th Asian Pacific Congress of Heart Failure (APCHF) on April, 2014 in the beautiful island of Bali. Heart Failure has become an epidemic in Indonesia. Therefore, we want to discuss in-depth and share expertise with the world known expert on the prevention and management of  this end stage cardiovascular syndrome.

Since the organization of APCHF is getting bigger and stronger, we would like to make collaborations with the World Heart Failure Society, the Heart Failure Association of European Society of Cardiology,  the Heart Failure Society of America, the Canadian Heart Failure Association, as well as the Heart Failure Societies in Asia Pacific countries such as Australia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and India. We have organized an interesting and compelling scientific program that will focus on a holistic approach to the management of the heart failure epidemic, describing the importance of  multidisciplinary approach for treatment of heart failure, identifying the needs of devices therapy in heart failure, initiating pertinent, effective, translation and evidence-based legislation. Also, we will discuss the application of new diagnostic biomarkers, tools and new drugs for the management of heart failure.

Bali, the Island of Gods is always fascinating for the meeting place of old acquintances, friends and family.

Asian Pacific Congress of Heart Failure (APCHF) and ASMIHA 2014 Abstracts

The APCHF/ASMIHA 2014 Abstract Committee invites you to submit abstracts of original investigations for consideration at APCHF 2014. Abstracts should constitute original research (clinical studies, basic investigation and animal studies are equally encouraged) in the field of heart failure and cardiovascular medicine. The content may include portions of prior abstracts and/or manuscripts submitted or presented elsewhere. Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present, if accepted. Failure to present may jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
 

Abstract Title
Abstract titles should be concise and should not contain abbreviations. Please use Title Case and make sure to bold the entire title.

Example: This is a Properly Formatted Title

Abstract Authors
The submitting author is automatically designated as the primary/presenting author.List of author(s), Institute(s), city and country should be written immediately below the title. Authors name should be listed by surname followed by initials only.

Abstract Text

• Abstracts must be submitted in English.
• Abstracts should include: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
• Supported fileformats are MS Word and Word Document (.docx).
• The maximum number of words allowed is 250.
• Figures and images must be uploaded separately. Supported file formats are JPG.
• Use zeros before decimal points: 0.05 (not .05). Use decimal points: 0.05 (not commas: 0,05).
• Use lowercase “p” values: p<0.05
• Provide manufacturer name and location in parentheses for all brand or trade names. For brand drugs, include generic names in parentheses.
• Do not include references, credits, or grant support.

Abstract Policies and Procedures

• There is no submission fee required to submit an abstract to APCHF 2014.
• Abstracts must be submitted electronically through email as as an attached file to7thapchf@gmail.com by11:59 p.m. ET, on Saturday, December 28, 2013.
• All abstracts must be submitted in English.
• Abstracts submitters will get an emailconfirmation of notification.
• There is no limit to the number of abstracts a person may submit.
• Abstracts should briefly describe the objectives of the study, statement of methods and findings that support conclusions. Clarity of expression will be considered in the review process. The overall quality of language used should assure comprehension by the reader.
• Incomplete submissions cannot be processed.
• All abstracts submitted are disclosed to members of the Peer ReviewSelection Committee.
• Abstract grading is blinded and abstracts are selected on the basis ofmerit.
• Submitters may revise information, correct typographical errors, tables, graphics, or withdraw an abstract any time before 11:59 p.m. ET on December 28, 2013. Please contact7thapchf@gmail.com to revise or withdraw an abstract.
• APCHF/ASMIHA 2014 is unable to reimburse abstract submitters for travel, hotel, and per diem expenses.

Recognition

• The 10 best abstracts will be presented orally at APCHF2014 and the presenting authors will be listed as APCHF 2014 Associate Faculty.
• Reduced registration will be extended to the submitting author for each accepted abstract. Submitters will receive a unique code in their acceptance letter to register at the discounted rate of $50.
• Accepted abstracts will be available for review on apchf2014.org
