Event Overview
Welcome message:

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS) will soon reach its next major milestone, our 7th World Congress on Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care (PICC 2014).

Based on the success of and comments from our previous world congresses, we are determined to organize an innovative collaborative program at an exciting location bridging two continents. PICC 2014 will be at the crossroads to the future of pediatric intensive and critical care. We will touch down in Istanbul, Turkey, known for its enchanting blend of Eastern and Western culture. Istanbul is a vibrant, modern city with a unique identity; its rich history coexists alongside its youthful enthusiasm.

The program differs from our previous congresses. Our vision is to work and learn as a team. Sessions with the latest interactive technologies will give you, as a delegate, more opportunity to share your experience and increase your knowledge and competencies. We will have many sessions in a multidisciplinary format, similar to our daily clinical work where we often work together as physicians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, children and parents.

By bringing you together in Istanbul as the global pediatric intensive and critical care community, we hope to stimulate colleagues around the world and make an impact on the care of our critically ill and injured children and their families.

We not only welcome you, but also invite you, to share your pioneering ideas, research and knowledge. PICC 2014 will be different, original, creative and above all fun.

We look forward to meeting you personally,

Tolga F. Köroğlu and Jos M. Latour
PICC 2014 Congress Chairs
