Event Overview
Welcome message:

Dear Colleagues,

For more than 20 years the European Conference on Comparative Neurobiology (ECCN) – initiated by Hans J ten Donkelaar and Gerhard Roth – offers a unique forum to present and discuss new developments in the field of comparative neuroscience.

Next year, the 8th ECCN will be held in Munich from April 7 – 9, 2016. The selection of Plenary Speakers, as well as the planned symposia will cover a particularly wide range of evo-devo topics from human isocortex evolution to fish forebrain organization.

The venue is in beautiful downtown Munich at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities within the historic Munich Residence, the seat of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings from 1508 to 1918.

We are confident that the ECCN8 will – as in previous years – turn out to be a great meeting with lots of enlightening presentations, fruitful discussions and personal interactions. The drafted program aims at keeping a balance between established scientist presentations and symposia, as well as poster sessions offering young people opportunities to present their work.

You are invited to participate in and enjoy the ECCN8 in April 2016 with our kindest wishes for a memorable meeting of minds in Munich.
