Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are excited and proud to announce that the 8th SARC 2017 and 4th SARC FESS Workshop will be held from 4 - 6 May 2017 and 6 - 7 May 2017 respectively. 

The Singapore Allergy & Rhinology Conference (SARC) has come a long way since 2010. The 7th SARC 2016, 3rd SARC FESS Workshop & 1st SARC Rhinoplasty Course in 2016 was a resounding success with over 350 registrants & faculty members from 27 countries. The highlight was the distinguished panel of faculty, including pioneer rhinologists that gave excellent, inciteful lectures for the participants. The excellent opportunities for interaction between all participants and faculties was also an important factor that made this meeting unique amongst others. 

In 2017, we again have a very distinguished panel of faculties. They are Prof Ray Sacks, Prof Peter W Hellings, Prof Samer Fakhri, Prof Joaquium Mullol, A/Prof Matthew Ryan, Prof Hans Rudolf Briner, A/Prof Dharambir S Sethi and others. With them, they bring along their huge amount of experience to share and impart to all participants.

This conference has established itself to be one of the important forums for ASEAN ENT doctors to interact with leading ENT specialists from the USA, Europe, China and other parts of the world. There will be panel discussion on the leading controversial topics in both surgical and medical treatment of allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis and other associated diseases. Food allergy and the latest component testing techniques will be the highlighted topics in this meeting. Leading edge technology will also be showcased in both the course and workshop.

The chairmen of the FESS workshop are Dr Leong Jern-Lin and Dr David Chin, with A/Prof Dharambir S Sethi as the Advisor. All the invited professors will be participating in the demonstration of basic to advanced endoscopic skull base dissection techniques. All participants will have hands-on cadaveric dissection supervised by personal tutors. Image guidance systems will be available in all stations to aid the understanding of anatomy.

This conference and workshop would be the first to establish the standard of teaching for ENT Allergy and Rhinology practise. It not only serve as a platform for exchange of ideas but also increase greater co-operation amongst ASEAN doctors in understanding this disease. The curriculum will be comprehensive and include core concepts of rhinosinuses and allergy. Understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment will be re-emphasized. Other topics including inflammatory nasal diseases and immunotherapy will be taught. There will also be hands-on practicum on allergy testing. 

This conference has established itself as the leading forum in the teaching and exchanging of ideas in ENT Allergy and Rhinology in Asia. We welcome participation from ENT specialists, Paediatricians, Respiratory physicians and Family practitioners as the topics are relevant to all allergy practitioners.
