Aintree Difficult Airway Management (ADAM) Course is organized by Difficult Airways Society (DAS) and would be held on Jun 30, 2017 at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. The target audience for this medical event basically for anesthetists. This CME conference has been approved with 5 CEPD points by RCoA.
ADAM's ethos is to prevent critical incidents arising during airway management by scrupulously avoiding preventable problems attributable to the patient, equipment and/or anaesthetist. Inspired by the approach of the aviation industry, it makes use of checklists to ensure ALL problems are identified preoperatively.
The course uniquely provides a structured approach for dealing with the anticipated difficult airway offering a step-by-step guide to:
• Patient assessment
• 'Best plan' selection
• Flawless execution of the 'Best Plan'
