Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the entire Scientific Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 1st Asia-Pacific Gastroenterology Cancer Summit from 6 – 8 December 2013. The confirmed venue will be announced shortly.

The conference will encompass malignancies affecting every component of the gastrointestinal tract and aspects related to the care of patients with gastrointestinal cancer, including screening, diagnosis and the latest management options for common and uncommon tumours. The conference will educate and update delegates who participate in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, providing a clear overview for treatment.

Sessions will be led by renowned international and regional experts in the field through focused discussion groups, case presentations and debates providing knowledge delegates can immediately apply.

There will also be presentations of some of the best research in the region and publication in a premier industry journal. We invite interested delegates to submit their abstracts to be considered for oral and/or poster presentations.

Submission Info

The Asia-Pacific Gastroenterology Summit 2013 invites individuals to submit abstracts for poster presentations on the following topics:

  • Advances in the Management of Pancreatic and Hepatocellular Tumours
  • Management of colorectal Tumours
  • Managing Gastric and GE Tumours
  • GI surgical Oncology
  • GI malignancies
Editorial Guidelines for Presented Content:

Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). All reports must be based on work that has already been completed. No studies “in progress” will be accepted. Any established research design or method may be used. The abstracts will be scored on the following criteria:

  • Originality
  • Concept and design
  • Presentation
  • Clinical applicability
  • Other characteristics

Language: All abstracts are to be written in English. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for grammar and clarity.

Submission: All abstracts must be submitted via the Online Abstract Form which can be accessed atwww.apgcs.org. This should be limited to a maximum of 500 words and should include the following:

  • Title of abstract
  • Names and contact details of author(s) {organisation, city /country, email, phone numbers, fax numbers and mailing address}. Please indicate the name of the presenter/s clearly and provide a 3 line biography of the author/s with your abstract.
  • The abstract must include the following headings clearly: Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions. (Please provide evidence of ethical approval and funding acknowledgements if any).
  • Abstract submission will be acknowledged via email. If you do not receive an email within an hour of submission or have any additional queries please contact email apgcs@mci-group.com.

The 1st Asia – Pacific Gastroenterology Cancer Summit will be held in Singapore in cooperation with the Singapore Society of Oncology. The 2013 summit will include keynote lectures, round table discussions, case presentations and discussions and free paper presentations
