Australia’s Life Sciences Conference
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre #Melbourne, AUSTRALIA
I warmly invite you to join us at the Melbourne Convention Centre in Victoria for AusBiotech 2016, Australia’s life sciences conference, one of three events that make up the International BioFest 2016.
In 2016 we will celebrate AusBiotech’s 30th year as Australia’s biotechnology organisation. Today, AusBiotech is a well-connected network of over 3,000 members in the life sciences industry, which includes bio-therapeutics, medical technology (devices and diagnostics), food technology, industrial and agricultural biotechnology sectors. The industry consists of an estimated 900 biotechnology companies (400 therapeutics and diagnostics and 500 - 900 medical technology companies) and employs in excess of 45,000 Australians.
For three decades the annual AusBiotech conference has brought together Australian and international biotech leaders and stakeholders to reflect on what we have achieved and look ahead to what we need to do to further advance the biotech sector.
From 24 – 27 October, AusBiotech will be the proud host of the International BioFest 2016, the largest-ever gathering of the life sciences in Australia and a not-to-be missed opportunity to meet the entire biotech ecosystem in one place in one week. The event will celebrate the life sciences with the AusBiotech 2016 conference from 24 - 26 October, along with two other conferences: the 17th International Biotechnology Symposium and Exhibition (IBS); and Australia Biotech Invest 2016, Australia’s annual life sciences investment showcase.
AusBiotech 2016 will explore current global trends, critical and emerging topics, breakthroughs and war stories. Discussions will cover regulation and reimbursement, research translational strategies, new markets, business development and capital access, emerging technologies, clinical trials and commercialisation.
Complementing the extensive three-day AusBiotech 2016 program and our popular AusPartnering business matching program, delegates will have access to unprecedented networking opportunities during the International BioFest 2016. The combined BioIndustry Exhibition of AusBiotech 2016 and the IBS 2016 will provide a business showcase and major networking hub. The AusBiotech 2016 receptions and the joint gala dinner with IBS 2016 will offer other valuable opportunities to socialise and build your contacts.
I encourage you to explore all the offerings of the International BioFest 2016 and look forward to welcoming you in Melbourne.
