Welcome to Dalian and BIT's 6th Annual International Congress of Antibodies (ICA-2014). We are honored to announce that the most antibody event in Asia will be held on April 25-28, 2014 in Dalian, China. With the theme of “The New Era of Antibody Research and Therapy”, the congress will provide an opportunity to bring together professional representatives all over the world.

This conference will be an outstanding experience, both scientifically and socially. ICA-2014 aims to be the most comprehensive antibody congress where discoveries meet opportunities. During 5 years of successful running of ICA, it has attracted more than 2,000 participants from 56 countries. We are trying our best to be the unique platform for Academic & Industrial information exchange & network expansion. The congress venue Dalian is one of the most famous, beautiful and romantic tourist destination in China, especially in April. Scientific Program:
Submission Info

1. The organizing committee of ICA-2014 invites all abstracts within the scope of the meeting. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by experts and scheduled for either poster or oral presentation during the congress. Irrelevant or poor quality abstracts may be rejected. 

2. Abstracts may only be submitted online through the congress website. It is advisable to prepare the complete text of your abstract as well as any figures or tables before accessing the online submission form.

3. Abstracts should be written in clear English, taking in to account the specifications below:

 

 

a.

Maximum word count of abstract title is 20 words.

 

 

b.

Maximum word count of the abstract text is 300 words (adjust in case of tables/figures)

 

 

c.

The abstract topic should be selected during the online submission process from the list of predefined topics in order to facilitate abstract review and scheduling.

 

 

d.

A minimum of three specific keywords should be added during online submission for indexing of the abstract. Specific keywords include: name(s) of drug(s) investigated, molecular target molecule(s), disease(s) studied, biochemical or biological function(s) studied. Avoid the use of vague keywords such as: angiogenesis, cell death, cancer, tumor, drug development, drug therapy. The organizing committee of ICA-2014 reserves the right to delete, edit or add keywords in order to achieve uniformity throughout abstract publications.

 

 

e.

Use International Nonproprietary Names (INN) or research codes to identify drugs throughout the abstract. Proprietary names may be used in the abstract text, not the title. The first time the drug is mentioned in the text us the INN and put the proprietary name between brackets.

 

 

f.

The identity of a new, previously unpublished, drug substance needs to be disclosed in the abstract either by providing its structural formula or full chemical name.


4. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted. No editing of abstract texts will be done. However, failure to comply with the above guidelines may be corrected (e.g. use of drug names, keywords) by the meeting organizers.

5. After submission abstracts can no longer be changed by the authors. Should minor changes be necessary after submission, the author should notify Mr. David Zhang by email at david@bit-ica.com, describing exactly the nature of the change to be made. The ICA-2014 organizers will then implement the change. If major changes are required the author should submit a revised abstract as an entirely new abstract and send a request to david@bit-ica.com to delete the original abstract. The addition of a co-author constitutes a major change.

6. After completion of the abstract review, the submitting author will receive scheduling information via email. Abstracts cannot be withdrawn after receipt of the scheduling information by the submitting author. The presenting author must be registered as a participant of ICA-2014 for final scheduling and publication of the abstract.

7. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Proceedings. The authors of the submitted abstracts are responsible for any Intellectual Property issues concerning the abstracts on their own. The organizing committee of ICA-2014 reserves the right to use submitted abstracts for conference purposes.

Editorial Guidelines for Presented Content:

Thank you for attending ICA-2014. Please read carefully the following instructions and guidelines for paper submissions and oral presentations.


1. Preparations - Paper Abstract 
All speakers have the opportunity to write a short abstract of their research work. Please send you abstract by email to david@bit-ica.com Selected abstracts will be listed on the conference website after they are accepted.
We kindly request that you keep in mind the deadline for paper submissions: March 1, 2014.


2. Your Written Presentation 
Please prepare your presentation in the English language. The absolute deadline to include your presentation in the Conference Proceedings is March 15, 2014. We need to receive your paper in our office on or before this date. Papers received after this date cannot be included in the printed conference proceedings. Please submit your paper in MS Word through email todavid@bit-ica.com .

 

3. Format of Your Written Paper = A4
Please present in the following manner: Times New Roman, Exactly 15pt, 8, plain, bold your paper should contain the following:
(Please refer to the enclosed Example Document) 
● Name, occupation, employer of speaker. 
● Personal resume of speaker under the heading ‘About the Author’
● Abstract. 
Your paper will be printed as you deliver it. Please make sure that all materials are of a representative quality. Your paper should not exceed 300 words. Important Note: Copies of overheads or PowerPoint slides are NOT ACCEPTABLE as your written paper.

 

4. Your Oral Presentation
Digital presentation 
For your oral presentation you may bring a PowerPoint file on a CD or USB flash drive (memory stick). The organizers will copy these files onto the general laptop for beamer projection. It is suggested that you email a copy of your presentation to your personal inbox as a backup. If for some reason the files can’t be accessed from your flash drive, you will be able to download them to the computer from your email.
All oral presenters are required to submit an electronic version of their presentation either by 7:00pm of the day prior to their presentation at the registration desk, or in the meeting room of their presentation 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. All presentations will be scanned for viruses and subsequently loaded on the main projector computer. Any changes to a file prior to its presentation must be made through the Registration Desk. 

Use of your own laptop is not recommended 
● Movies: If your PowerPoint files contain movies please make sure that they are well formatted and connected to the main files.
● Timing: Please make sure your presentation is well timed. Every speaker has a maximum of 20 minutes total, including speaking time and discussion. Please keep in mind that the program is full and that the speaker after you would like their allocated time available to them.

Poster
 

Poster Abstract 
There will be an exhibition of posters at the conference and the abstracts of accepted posters will be published in the conference program. You will be notified if your abstract has been accepted for poster presentation as soon as it has been reviewed by the organizing committee. All accepted posters will be presented during the Poster Viewing Session. Posters will be reviewed for oral presentation 4-6 weeks prior to the conference. Oral presenters will be notified by email or telephone at least 3 weeks before the conference. The selected presenters will be posted on the agenda.

Materials to hang your poster will be available at the poster area. The set-up time is TBA. You will receive your poster number 4-6 weeks prior to the conference.

Your presence is recommended during lunches and coffee breaks for discussion with those who are interested in your research.

Poster abstracts format 
Posters will be judged during the conference. You are invited to submit a poster abstract on one of the themes from the conference for presentation in poster format. Posters should be based upon original and ongoing research. Abstracts should be submitted online by February 20, 2014 to david@bit-ica.com.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically. They should be in the following format:
*Title in block capital letters
*Author(s) and principal affiliations. Presenting author should be named first.
*Abstract text, no more than 500 words. You may include the objective, methods, results and conclusion. The presenter should prepare some copies of their paper with a business card to be distributed to interested participants.
*A list of references is optional (no more than 5)

Poster Instructions: Guidelines
*Regular poster size is 70 cm (wide) by 90 cm (high)
*The text should be readable by visitors standing 1.5 meters away from the poster
*You may display your poster during the conference

Remark: For Poster Registration Only 
1. If you are planning to attend our conference the poster exhibition fee is separate from the registration fee for the rest of the conference events. The abstract of the poster will be included in the proceedings of the conference and we will provide space for poster exhibition. Please print the poster prior to your arrival. 
 2. If you are not attending the conference the abstract of your poster will be included in the proceedings of the conference, we will provide space for poster exhibition, and will print the poster

Booth Reservation Procedures 
1. Please register here and then email david@bit-ica.com. We will reply promptly to assist you to select an available booth in an ideal location. 
Booth assignment: the earlier one applies and pays, the earlier this booth will be assigned.
2. After completing the Exhibit Contract please stamp it with an authoritative seal then fax or email it to the organizing committee. Written confirmation will be made by fax or email when the application is accepted.
3. Upon confirmation, the exhibition fee will be paid to the organizing committee within 3 business days. Please also fax your remitting bill for checking. The booth will not be reserved until payment has been received.
4. Deadline for booth applications is April 1, 2014

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made before December 20, 2013 will be refunded 50% of the booth price. Cancellations made after January 1, 2014 are not eligible for refunds. The organizing committee will retain the full booth price, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages to re-sell or reassign the booth space.
