Conference Chair bone-tec 2015
Bone tissue engineering is one of the most important scientific fields addressing the urgent needs of cranial and oral maxillofacial, orthopaedic, dental, trauma, osteoporosis and bone cancers. With ageing populations, worldwide musculoskeletal diseases are on the rise. bone-tec 2015 aims to continue to bring a unique conference where scientists and clinicians can present their latest breakthroughs in translational clinical science, cell, stem cell, matrix and molecular biology, biomaterials design and bioreactor technology.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB is honored to host bone-tec 2015. Fraunhofer IGB in Stuttgart is one of 60 institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Germany's leading organization for application-oriented research with research units in Europe, the USA and Asia. We offer R&D solutions in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, the environment and energy. Our competences comprise of Interfacial Engineering and Materials Science, Molecular Biotechnology, Physical Process Technology, Environmental Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering, as well as Tissue Engineering.
I am delighted to welcome all delegates to Stuttgart. Stuttgart is well known as the German capital for engineering, as well as its art museums and architecture. Stuttgart is the birthplace of the automobile. Mercedes Benz and Porsche, both companies still design, engineer and manufacture in the Stuttgart area and host two world-renowned automobile museums. http://www.stuttgart-tourist.de/en/inventive
