ABSTRACT & VIDEO REVIEW AND SELECTION:
All abstract and video submissions will receive acknowledgement of receipt. Submissions will be blinded, reviewed and selected by panels established for each subject classification. In early June, an e-mail will be sent to the submitter to confirm the acceptance of the submitted abstract or video. The highest ranked abstracts will be offered a podium presentation and all other accepted abstracts will be offered a poster presentation. The best video submissions will be offered a presentation at the CSF Video Competition taking place September 19th 2014. This session will highlight different surgical techniques and approaches, as well as unusual or interesting cases. Specific details will be provided to the submitter about the session, date, time and location of the presentation along with registration, housing and audio-visual information. All presenters are required to register for the Forum. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Canadian Journal of Surgery.
AWARDS:
CAGS - The Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS) is sponsoring an award for the best CAGS Basic Science and the best CAGS Clinical and Education Research papers presented at the Forum.
Posters - The Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF) is sponsoring an award for the best poster presentations in each classification presented at the Forum. All abstracts accepted to be presented by a medical or undergraduate student, or resident during the Forum will be eligible for an award.
