CHEST World Congress 2019
Welcome,
Bangkok, Thailand, will set a perfect backdrop for CHEST Congress 2019, hosted by CHEST and the Thoracic Society of Thailand. Bangkok attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world every year, and it is easy to see why; it features historical architecture and cultural traditions dating back hundreds of years, combined with the excitement and amenities one would expect from the modern-day capital city of a country of 70 million people. The energy here is truly infectious; it will invigorate you as you master the latest clinically relevant advances in chest medicine during our global meeting.
This premier education event will give attendees access to world-renowned faculty from regional and international centers of excellence; our Program Committee has designed an outstanding slate of sessions for you to attend and experience. Whether you choose to attend one of our five focused tracks on thoracic malignancies, airways disorders, chest infections, interventional pulmonary procedures, or sleep medicine, or, head to one of our outstanding sessions on critical care or interstitial lung disease, you can expect CHEST’s expertise in simulation-based education, case- and problem-based sessions, and evidence-based medicine to shine through. We will be featuring innovative and diverse education opportunities incorporating the best of the CHEST Annual Meeting, including lectures, postgraduate courses, guided poster presentations, and hands-on simulation opportunities. This international meeting will connect the best minds in chest medicine from Asia and Oceania and around the world to help you and your team learn the latest and greatest in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
Our host city of Bangkok offers a great opportunity to include your family in your plans. It offers adventure at every turn; you can take in the beauty of the gleaming temples, visit the Grand Palace, catch a tuk tuk along the bustling Chinatown, or ride a long-tail boat through floating markets. The local cuisine will be a highlight, ranging from local dishes served by street stalls to haute cuisine featured in rooftop restaurants. Luxury malls along with a wide array of boutiques and markets provide plenty of shopping options, as well. On the last day of the congress, you have the unique opportunity to join the celebration for the Thai New YEAR. Street parties, carnival-style parades, and a festive mood all over Bangkok will characterize the 1-week celebration of Songkran. The dates for the 2019 celebrations are 12-16 April, which overlaps perfectly with the congress.
We look forward to seeing you 10-12 April at CHEST Congress 2019 in Bangkok!
