CORA 2017 – Controversies in Rheumatology & Autoimmunity
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Following the success of the Third International Congress on Controversies in Rheumatology and Autoimmunity (CORA) held in Sorrento, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to Bologna, Italy, for the fourth CORA Congress.
First launched in Florence in 2011, CORA has since become a major event in the field of rheumatology and autoimmunity thanks to its fresh and intuitive structure featuring debate sessions on burning and controversial issues. The last congress attracted over 800 participants and we expect to reach as many as 1000 delegates in 2017.
CORA 2017 will feature major and short debate sessions, scientific lectures, abstract presentations, sponsored blocks, as well as an exciting new session type: the "Curbside Consults" where difficult clinical cases will be discussed by top experts.
Today, new autoimmune syndromes are being discovered and described rapidly by leading scientists and these findings raise further questions related to the clinical diagnosis, management, as well as the pathogenesis of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders.
The scientific program of CORA 2017 will cover many of these issues. We will conduct debates on Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, fibromyalgia, vasculitis, gout, and osteoarthritis. We will discuss the highly controversial issues of therapy withdrawal in remitted patients, the use of biosimilars in the place of originators, the supplementation of Vitamin D in all patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases and many other topics.
CORA 2017 promises a colorful and innovative program, and we look forward to your contribution by submitting an abstract and joining the discussions on these issues.
We await you in Bologna, the lively, historic capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy for an inspiring medical event.
Sincerely,
Prof. Andrea Doria Prof. Yehuda Shoenfeld
