The ESPGHAN IBD Porto Group and the Local Organizing Committee are happy to announce the 4th ESPGHAN IBD Masterclass to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from 25 - 27 November 2018. The 3 previous masterclasses were very well attended and rated as highly successful by the participants.
The headings in this years program are:
•“What is this thing called pediatric IBD?”
•“Treatment dilemmas”
•“Special challenges in treatment”
•“Interactive session: listen, ask and discuss”
•“More interactive topics: own cases and family-doctor communication”
This ESPGHAN workshop is for practicing gastroenterologists who wish to improve their clinical skills in managing paediatric IBD. The goals are to review important aspects of diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents. ESPGHAN will cover accommodation and meals as well as a stipulated refund amount for travel. The number of applicants is limited. The Masterclass is intended for paediatric gastroenterologists who care for children with IBD. Trainees could be accepted based on availability. Preference will be given to ESPGHAN members. Applicants are invited to send their CV and a short one-paragraph application detailing why they think they should be selected.
The Masterclass will take place in a brand new auditorium in the newly constructed Panum tower of the University of Copenhagen. Accommodation will take place in hotels located centrally and easily reached by the metro line from the Copenhagen airport. Social events will include welcoming drinks at the roof of the Panum tower, a local dinner 1st evening, and at 2nd evening a guided visit to the Viking exhibition of National museum and a traditional Christmas dinner in a local “brown” restaurant.
The “Paediatric IBD Porto Group” is a group of paediatric IBD experts from ESPGHAN whose goals are to generate collaborative international research and to provide a leadership role concerning current diagnosis and management of IBD in children.
