Speakers/Faculty:

Adarsh E. Krishen, M.D., MMM, FAAFP; Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Rootstown, Ohio; Associate Director Summa Family Medicine Residency; and Clinical Director Family Medicine Center of Akron, Akron, Ohio.

Dr. Krishen is a Professor of Family Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He works as Associate Director at Summa Family Medicine Residency in Akron, Ohio where he provides care to patients, teaches residents and serves as the Clinical Director of the Family Medicine Center of Akron. He has received the Summa Family Medicine Teacher of the Year Award. Most recently he has been the lead physician on the successful attainment of NCQA Level 3 PCMH certification for the Family Medicine Residency practice site. He has presented Family Medicine and General Medicine updates for CEI several times over the last 5 years.

Dr. Krishen completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Kent State University and received his Medical Degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He earned a Masters in Medical Management for Carnegie Mellon University in 2009. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. 


Jay C. Williamson, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Summa Physicians, Inc.

Dr. Williamson is a board certified family physician who currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for Summa Physicians Inc. in Akron, Ohio. He has served as Associate Dean for Clinical Sciences as well as Interim Dean for the College of Medicine at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 2010. Prior to assuming his current role, Dr Williamson was the program director for the Family Medicine Residency Program at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. Throughout his career, he has developed several areas of expertise in various aspects of healthcare delivery and medical education. He has vast experience in continuing medical education, both at the state and local levels through his service as Chairman of the Continuing Medical Education Committee for Summa and Chair of the Ohio State Medical Association Committee on Accreditation. He was recently named to the committee on Review and Recognition for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

Dr. Williamson is a seasoned lecturer and widely recognized for his knowledge on many aspects of healthcare and medical education, both statewide and nationally. He currently serves on the boards of the Summit County Health Department, SummaCare Insurance Company and Akron Community Health Resources (ACHR). He also currently maintains an active practice in Family Medicine.
