WORMED 2013

 

Welcome to the First World Congress for Advanced Medical Research.


The medical world witnesses rapid spectacular strides, innovations and state of the art technology with adoption of evidence based approach. The goal of the congress is to bring researchers in the medical and biomedical fields from all parts of the world together. It provides researchers ample opportunities for exposure to diverse experience in different fields, meeting their peers, enhancing their potentials and widening horizons and scope for future research.

 

The three-day congress will host researchers from many countries; our great expectation includes presentation of research studies in various fields, such as, medical, dentistry, veterinary, biomedical sciences, nursing, pharmacy, allied health and medical education. It also includes productive and purposeful workshops on basic research and allied topics.

 

There will be celebrated keynote speakers with an international image, vast experience and valuable contribution in their respective fields. Sessions of the congress will be categorized according to fields of interest and these comprise plenary sessions, paper presentations and poster presentations.

 

The congress will be held in the magnificent city of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The participants will have a memorable experience and stay in a city known for its pride of gorgeous landscape, legendary architecture, and warm and hospitable people.

The conference is jointly coorganized by Universiti Malaysia Kelantan UMK and Design for Scientific Renaissance DSR.

Abstract and Paper Submission

 

The procedure for paper submission, acceptance and presentation for the congress is as follow.
Paper will be assessed by experts, who will give timely decision of the initial acceptance based on the abstract. Only the abstract will be presented during the congress. The full paper will be subjected to a formal review process; comments will be communicated to corresponding author(s) to ensure early publication in one of the following journals

1) Procedia (Elsevier Leading to SCOPUS listing): all papers will be published in this Journal

2) Other papers will have the chance to be published in Journal of Advanced Medical Research [JAMRAND Journal of Advanced Biomedical and Pathobiology [JABPAR].Authors are advised to adhere to the following format for preparing the papers

Part 1: Abstract

The abstract is most important for initial decision making; as there will be large number of abstracts, care should be exercised to submit quality abstract that summarizes the full paper according to the stipulated guidelines.

Part 2: Full paper 

As full paper needs more time for review and communication with author(s), abstract acceptance doesn’t ensure that the full paper will be published without further revision by author(s) according to reviewers’ comments. Authors are requested to respond promptly to reviewers’ comments to expedite publication.

Instructions for preparing Abstracts
Please download and use the provided abstract template. The body of text must not exceed 250 words. Abstracts should be according to the following format: Background & Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusion. Tables, graphs, and charts are NOT permitted in abstracts.
All abstract should be written in English and checked and proof read.  Use single space 12 pts Time New Roman font with left justification. The title of the abstract must be centralized and in upper case, 16 pts font Time New Roman. The title should be informative and specific to the content. Authors’ name and affiliations should appear below the title. Please underscore the presenting authors’ names.  
Kindly avoid acknowledgment or reference to funding sources in the body of the abstract.

Submission timeline  

Submitted paper will be received by the members of the scientific committee who will assign anonymous reviewers for each paper. Decision will be made base on abstract in 3 weeks time (Latest by 10th August 2013).

Accepted papers will undergo a thorough review and comments will be communicated to corresponding authors of the paper, revision needs to be finalized latest by 30th September 2013. It is the responsibility of the authors to provide promptly revised version of the paper to ensure publication at one of the mentioned journals above.
