Event Overview
Welcome message:

Penn Radiology is excited to be able to offer this course in Puerto Rico.  The four-day program is designed to present the most up-to-date information on evolving guidelines and imaging techniques, and offer practical tips to enhance image interpretation skills which are of particular importance to diagnostic radiologists in clinical practice.  A broad range of lecture topics in breast, neuroradiology, thoracic, abdominal and gynecological imaging will be given by our expert, subspecialized faculty.  Emphasis is placed on describing diagnostic pitfalls and the indications for complementary use of different imaging modalities.  Several case review presentations will re-enforce the lecture material and allow for group discussion.  Additionally, self-assessment modules (SAMS) will be offered throughout the week.

TARGET AUDIENCE

After experiencing damage and loss from Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico is back and more vibrant than ever! The streets of San Juan are alive once again with the bustle of vendors and aromas that make San Juan the culinary capital of the Caribbean. The blue cobblestones of Old San Juan contrast with the modern Condado district that our host hotel now thrives in.

The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel

In 1917, the Vanderbilt family, one of the wealthiest in America at that time, hired the prominent architectural firm that built New York's Grand Central Terminal to build their hotel.  One million dollars later, the hotel opened with great excitement as the first luxury hotel in Puerto Rico, marking the beginning of  high-end tourism to the area.

Today, the Condado Vanderbilt hotel boasts two 11-story towers showcasing the rich history of its past with modern amenities such as high definition screens, Apple TVs in every room, and Five-Diamond butler service on every floor.  Seven restaurants and bars offer guests numerous choices along with options in other nearby hotels and along the streets of Condado.
