Continuing Medical Education (CME)
CME accreditation for delegates
The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) credits are recognised
by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA).
It is expected that the International Cardiology Symposium will be accredited between 10 and 15 hours.
CME cer tes will be issued at the registration desk as from Friday, 17 May 2013.
CME accreditation for satellite symposia
CME accreditation from the UAE University or the EACCME for satellite symposia is not required. Satellite
symposia are considered part of the congress programme which has been approved for CME and will
therefore NOT require a separate approval

My Dear Colleagues,


It is my great pleasure to invite you all to the International Cardiology Symposium - A Global Agenda (ICS-13), to be held in Dubai between 16-18 May 2013. Its Scientific programme is supported by various national and international societies: the Emirates Cardiac Society, the Brazilian Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, with the IAS (International Society of Atherosclerosis) as co-sponsor of the symposium.

We are very excited about the possibility of holding an International Symposium, bringing together the best speakers from our countries: Brazilians, Europeans and Emiratis.

This Symposium will cover topics on clinical practice in Coronary Artery Diseases, Interventions, Diabetes, Heart Failure and Hypertension.

We have selected speakers from each society in the elaboration of a state-of-the-art programme, truly bringing the highlights in Cardiology and focusing on everyday clinical practice. We will discuss the most up-to-date and vibrant issues in Cardiology, 
and we have invited renowned cardiologists to lecture on each of these topics.

Dubai will be the centre of World Cardiology from 16-18 May 2013.
