International conference on Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia & Mental Disorders 2016
As a Member of the Organizing Committee, I cordially welcome all you eminent colleagues to this important conference! Bipolar disorders are still a provoking complexity that causes severe impact on individuals, families and societies, worldwide. When it becomes aggravated by another severe complexity, suicidal propensity, it is even more difficult to understand. However, possibly, the innovative and emerging branch of science of orienting hyporeactivity and vulnerability to suicide may offer new perspectives to this complexity.
The objectively measurable neuropsychological dysfunction that causes hyporeactivity to the everyday reality is strongly related to vulnerability to suicide in depression, perhaps particularly in bimodal disorders. My task today is to inform and enthuse researchers in neuropsychology, neurophysiology, psychology and psychiatry to further advance the field, theoretically and clinically, for deeper understanding of bimodal disorders and vulnerability to suicide and for clinical application of that knowledge for more effective suicide prevention. Further, my task is to learn important facts and theories from you, my dear colleagues, in listening to your presentations and argumentation in this and close topics.
