| Honorable members of the Korean Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery! As president of the congress, it is my honor to welcome you to the 2015 International Congress of Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in conjunction with the 89th Annual Congress of Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery/ the 2015 Spring Meeting of Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngologic Clinicians(2015 KORL-HNS). In the medical environment rapidly changing, our ENT society has developed across one hundred years of tradition. As much as our society history, your relentless efforts in the symposium have played a major role in the development of Otolaryngology in Korea. We also supplied a model for other academic societies thanks to our various members related with treatments such as nurses, audiologists, and speech therapist, along with the exemplary society management. Specifically, the symposium has had a key part in training specialists of individual fields and enhancing the research capability by providing the members of subdivided sections in the society. As a result, increasing members are reporting their papers to many international conferences and symposiums. In comparison with the past, the number of SCI article issue at international level is significantly increasing. For this symposium, we made many changes in the programs. Subdivisions of the field considered various demands for information such as basic researches and translational researches for professionals and a variety of clinical cases for specialists and practitioners will be provided as well as expansion of English session being concerned about internationalization. It will be a festival of communication for all the members of our society as well as the exchanges of academic research. Mr. Tae, the chairman of the Korean Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery who made considerable efforts in the preparation of this symposium, and the society’s directors, committees, leaders of the divisions, as well as the clinicians’ president and directors deserve unbounded gratitude for their contributions. We promise further development and continuing efforts on the symposium as an exchange of academy and communications. Your active participation in this symposium will surely contribute to our society’s tremendous success.
