*What other professions can claim ACCME AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™?
Registered Dieticians: The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) does not require Live activities to be prior approved as long as the activity follows the Professional Development Portfolio Process in the PDP Guide, it can be eligible for CPEUs for CDR. The International Plant-based Nutrition Healthcare Conference (PBNHC) is a live activity and follows the guidelines; therefore, it is eligible for Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs) for CDR.
However, please be mindful that certain states have their own rules and regulations for what they find acceptable as CPEUs. Please check with your state governing body to be sure the PBNHC is acceptable. State licensure and state certification are entirely separate and distinct from registration or certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Physician Assistant: The American Academy of Physician’s Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 24 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.
Certified Nurse Midwife: The American Midwifery Certification Board accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME, as credits towards CEU’s for certification. Please visit www.amcbmidwife.org/certificate-maintenance-program/ceu-policy for more information.
