Labquality Days, organised by Labquality Oy annually, draws about 1,000 providers to the Helsinki Messukeskus.
Labquality Days plays an important role in providing continuing education for Finnish laboratory professionals. The two-day event will feature some 90 lectures on various specialisations in the laboratory science field by top experts from Finland. Lectures will examine problems and solutions in analytics, the medical background of studies, new technologies, external quality assessment and overall quality management. Labquality Days also offers an opportunity to develop practical skills at popular sample examination seminars. In addition, the lecture programme includes a current-issues event addressing changes in laboratories' operating environments which draws a full house, as well as our own session on bioanalytics work.
The Labquality Days event was organised for the fortieth time in 2013. The traditional event is developed further each year to better meet the changing and growing information needs of personnel at clinical laboratories and point-of-care units. The lecture programme is organised annually by a seven-member education work group with senior chemist Solveig Linko as chairman. Dozens of laboratory professionals take part in planning the event every year.
An overall Labquality Days English-language lecture programme featuring internationally recognised speakers is presented alongside the wide-range of lectures held in Finnish. Some of the leading speakers for Labquality Days 2014 have already been confirmed. Read more.
A comprehensive clinical laboratory exhibition is also an important part of the event. In 2013 about 60 exhibitors took part, including diagnostics and IT companies.
