Welcome message:

Aimed at GPs who are already experienced in providing skin minor surgery, this cost-effective 1-day UPDATE AND DOPS ASSESSMENT programme provides CPD with an assessment of skills and knowledge. This fulfils the new NHS England for the accreditation of GPs who carry out skin surgery and also the supporting information for revalidation.

This course will cover:

Local anaesthetics

Consent

Epidermal cysts, lipoma, abscess

Suturing techniques 

Elliptical excision 

'Pearls' on minor surgery

DOPS Assessment

The DOPS assessment is currently required by NHS England for GPs to perform Minor Surgery in the London area only.
