This course is designed for surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, gynecologists, primary care providers, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals who provide both diagnostics and treatment of patients with breast cancer.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:


Recognize benign breast conditions.

Recognize the role of risk assessment tools in identifying women at high risk for breast cancer.

Explain the controversies in screening mammography and role of newer imaging modalities.

Summarize contemporary axillary management strategies and their risks.

A host of options entertain guests of all ages. Spacious guestrooms and suites radiate with the warm colors, vibrant textures, and natural materials typical of Southwest style.


A limited block of guest rooms has been reserved for attendees at the special group rate of $289/night (USD) plus applicable city/state taxes. Make your reservation before the block fills or the cut-off date of October 8, 2018, reference Mayo Clinic Breast Disease Course. Group rates will apply three days prior to and three days after the course dates based on group room availability. Children under the age of 17 will stay complimentary. Third or fourth adult person rates are $50 each. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations.


A deposit equal to one night’s stay ($289 plus tax) is required to hold each individual’s reservation. The deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the final night of the reserved stay. The deposit paid by individuals is refundable if notice is received at least seven (7) days prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.
