Event Overview
Welcome message:

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO), I am delighted to invite you to join me at the 2018 Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria. Mark June 28-30, 2018 on your calendar now!

The MASCC meeting is unique in taking a multidisciplinary approach to topics in supportive cancer care. Our 2018 meeting will feature plenary sessions on cannabinoids for symptom management and cancer therapy, post-chemotherapy cognitive Impairment, and cardiac toxicities secondary to cancer therapies. These topics span a range of specialties and allied professions, enabling the whole team to come together to discuss issues of mutual interest on a global platform.  Themed pre-conference workshops will provide another opportunity for in-depth discussions on many areas of side-effect management. In addition, mentored sessions for poster presenters will provide guidance from world leaders for our experts of the future.

In 2018, the Annual Meeting returns to Europe and the beautiful country of Austria. Vienna, one of the most exquisite cities in Europe, lies on the banks of the majestic Danube River. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Wachau region, the city offers a unique combination of imperial traditions and stunning modern architecture. The city is famous for its cultural events, imperial sights, coffee houses, cozy wine taverns, and the characteristic Viennese charm. Vienna is considered a paradise for music lovers, being the home to many internationally renowned composers, such as Schubert, Strauss, Schoenberg, and Berg. Others, such as Mozart and Beethoven, chose to live in the city. There are plenty of main attractions to discover, as well as boat rides across the Danube River, hiking through the Vienna woods, or just spending the evening with a night tour, dinner cruise, or a Mozart concert.

I look forward to welcoming you to MASCC/ISOO 2018. Please share this invitation with any colleagues who might be interested in attending.

With Warmest Regards,
