National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meeting (SCM 2019)
SCM19 presents a unique opportunity for busy renal health care providers to learn new developments related to all aspects of nephrology. It is designed for kidney doctors in the private sector and academia, fellows and residents with a special interest in kidney disease, general internists, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and technicians, social workers, and renal and clinical dietitians.
An important objective of SCM19 is to present the latest insights into chronic kidney disease care. Participants will learn about new and evolving concepts related to kidney disease through a carefully designed combination of interesting courses, practical workshops, thought-provoking symposia and insightful debates incorporating the latest developments in clinical nephrology.

The headquarters for the NKF 2019 Spring Clinical Meetings (SCM19) is the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. Located in the heart of Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood, the Hynes Convention Center is surrounded by world-class shopping, dining, attractions, public transportation and other amenities, giving you the ultimate in flexibility and convenience. The Hynes is equipped with Free Wi-Fi access and complete cell phone coverage throughout the building, as well all-weather comfort, with over 3,100 hotel rooms and more than 200 shops, restaurants and visitor amenities actually connected to the convention spaces.
Rooms are available at Boston Marriott Copley Place, Sheraton Boston Hotel, and Westin Copley Place Boston. These hotels are all connected to the Hynes Convention Center. The discounted group rate is $254 – $275 per night, depending on the hotel (plus tax). Reservation confirmations will be sent within 5 days of receipt by the hotel's reservations department. Authors are invited to submit abstracts summarizing current basic or clinical research related to kidney disease in one of the below categories. Accepted abstracts will be published in the applicable journal and be invited for poster presentation. Abstracts previously published or presented at a national/international meeting prior to the NKF 2019 Spring Clinical Meetings will not be accepted.

For over 25 years, nephrology healthcare professionals from across the country have come to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Spring Clinical Meetings to learn about the newest developments related to all aspects of nephrology practice, network with colleagues, and present their research findings. The NKF Spring Clinical Meetings is designed for meaningful change in the multidisciplinary healthcare teams’ skills, performance, and patient health outcomes. It is the only conference of its kind that focuses on translating science into practice for the entire healthcare team.
Over 2,800 healthcare professionals attended the National Kidney Foundation 2018 Spring Clinical Meetings to learn about the most current science and how to improve patient outcomes in their practical applications.
