Welcome message:

Neuroradiology: Practice to Innovation is intended to provide a practical discussion and review of common diseases involving the brain, head/neck, and spine. It will also provide an overview of common imaging strategies, as well as an update in new trends, relevant techniques, and applications in diagnostic and/or therapeutic neuroradiology.  In addition, this course will review common endovascular and spinal interventional techniques utilized in neuroradiology.


This course is designed for the practicing radiologist whose work involves neuroradiology, or those involved in the neurological sciences, neurosurgery, neurology, and/or related fields.


Course Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:


Review features of degenerative spine disease and nomenclature

Illustrate common and uncommon cases resulting from trauma

Discuss the basic and advanced imaging techniques for degenerative dementia

Review pediatric brain and spine imaging

Illustrate the role of the neuroradiologist in the treatment and evaluation of epilepsy

Demonstrate the future and current role for artificial intelligence in the reading room

Update the provider on gadolinium contrast safety issues and contrast induced nephropathy

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman with special course rates.


$325 per night for Resort Tower

$449 per night for Ocean Tower


Hotel room rates are subject to all applicable taxes and services charges at the time of check-in. Currently the room tax is 13% and the service charge is an additional 10%. The service fee includes round trip baggage handling and room attendant. The special group rates will apply three days prior to and three days post course, based on availability. The maximum number of people per guest room is three adults or two adults and two children. A maximum of two children under the age of eighteen per room is complimentary.


There is a reduced daily resort fee of $50.00 per room, per night, plus tax. The resort fee includes high speed wireless internet in guest rooms, use of the fitness center, use of water sport toys including kayaks, standing paddle boards, snorkel gear, etc., valet parking as well as many more services and amenities.

Please identify yourself as a participant in the Mayo Clinic Neuroradiology course when making your reservation. In order to receive the special group rates, reservations must be made on or before Tuesday, October 4, 2018, and will be based on availability.
