Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Renewal
This courses will be taught in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines. The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide health professionals with:
Information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children
The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest
Please note:This course is for participants with a current American Heart Association PALS provider card who are due to renew. If you do not have a card issued by the American Heart Association, please contact the EEC at (608) 263-7259 before registering. Intended students must have good understanding of EKGs prior to course.
We are not allowed to accept template letters. According to AHA the only proof of CPR & PALS certification is the AHA card or a copy of the card.
Important: Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR is required. CPR must be obtained through AHA or American Red Cross.
