Submission Info
Please note the abstract submission dates of the conference you are supplying an abstract for. Abstracts will be compiled and all abstracts received for each category will be forwarded for review following the deadline date being reached. We do not send over each abstract for review as it is received.
We aim to secure a decision on the review of talk abstracts within 2 weeks of the submission deadline being reached. The conference chairs have complete control over the review process and this time-frame can be dependent on the chairs current workload. However, we will always try to receive the chairs decision as soon as is possible.
All poster abstracts received are automatically accepted for a poster presentation. We allow all delegates, including all the speakers, the opportunity to present a poster if they desire.
Abstracts can be submitted for 2 distinct categories – Talk or Poster.
Talk
Johannes Jansson/norden.org [CC BY 2.5 dk (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/dk/deed.en)], via Wikimedia CommonsAt each conference, several presentation slots are available for the chairs to fill following review of the abstracts submitted. Normally, this equates to a 15 – 20 minute presentation although in some circumstances more time may be allocated. This offers a fantastic opportunity to present your research to a distinguished audience of your peers and we encourage delegates from all levels of academic or industrial backgrounds to compete for places.
If you wish to submit an abstract to be considered for one of these slots, please select the ‘Talk‘ option.
Should you submit an abstract for talk consideration, but are not selected to give an oral presentation at the meeting, your abstract will automatically be accepted for a Poster Presentation.
Poster
postersWe also run a ‘Poster Session’ at each conference. During this session every attendee is encouraged to display an portrait-oriented A0 sized (1189×841 mm – 46.8×33.1 inch) poster depicting their research. Delegates are free to view and discuss the content with the authors in a relaxed environment while offering fantastic networking opportunities, collaborations to be developed, ideas to be exchanged and many other advantages for those taking part.
Further information on the Poster Session can be found via the following link – Poster Session Information
We do not operate a review process for Poster Abstracts – Everyone who wishes to present a Poster may do so. All Poster Abstract submissions are automatically accepted.
When printing your poster, please ensure it does not exceed A0 in size and be portrait in orientation. If measurements exceed this size, we cannot guarantee that your poster will be displayed.
Further, the Conference Chairs may elect to include a ‘Poster Highlight’ session in the main programme. This allows for several of the Poster Abstract authors to be offered short presentations (usually 3-5 minutes) to briefly surmise the core points of their work to all the conference attendees.
If you wish to be included in the poster session and a ‘Poster Highlight’ slots (should the Chairs elect to include them on the programme) , please select the ‘Poster‘ option.
