ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS OF EDINBURGH (RCPE) SYMPOSIUM EDINBURGH: DIABETES ACROSS THE LIFESPAN
Diabetes Across the Lifespan
We welcome you to our Symposium ‘Diabetes across the Lifespan’. We have put together an exciting programme of talks discussing diabetes from early years, through childhood to later life and senescence. We have excellent speakers who will discuss the management of pregnant women with diabetes, children, adolescents, young adults and care of the elderly person with diabetes. We have a particular focus on living with diabetes across the lifespan, so we are looking forward to hearing about the experience of living with diabetes, learning about the up-to-date management of diabetes complications and considering whether there are occupational constraints for people with diabetes. In addition we will hear about whether what we have learned from the UKPDS is relevant to management of diabetes in 2015 and then look forward to how we might be managing diabetes in the future. This symposium will be of interest to all grades of medical, nursing and scientific staff as well as allied health professionals. Medical students are most welcome to attend.
