Welcome message:

It is my great pleasure as congress president to welcome you to the 4th World Congress of Dermoscopy to be held in Vienna, Austria, from April 16–18, 2015.

An exciting and diverse scientific program is being currently organized by the committee. The congress will appropriately consider all aspects of skin imaging, from dermatoscopy to confocal microscopy. The main topics will be amongst others early recognition and treatment of all forms of skin cancer (melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer) and in vivo imaging of inflammatory skin diseases. Addressing these issues will be a superior faculty of speakers drawn from Europe, the U.S., Canada, South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I have no doubt that this meeting will be an outstanding event, both professionally and emotionally. 

We can also promise international delegates an exciting and uniquely Viennese social program when they visit this city. Mid April is usually a great time of the year in Vienna, the historic and modern cultural center of Austria. Social events in absolutely excellent settings will accompany the congress, while one of the world's largest sports events, the Vienna City Marathon will take place just before the congress. A host of tours both before and after the congress will suit both sightseer and sportsman.

Cancellations or changes should be received in writing to MCI Deutschland GmbH by e-mail or fax. Please do not contact the hotel directly. In case of partial or full cancellation of the hotel reservation until December 1, 2014, a handling fee of € 40 per person will be charged. Thereafter and until January 8, 2015, if one hotel night is cancelled, this hotel night will be charged. In case of partial or total cancellation of two or more hotel nights, 50% of the booked hotel nights will be charged. In case of cancellation or no-show without prior notice after January 8, 2015, all hotel nights reserved will be charged. In case of no-shows the right to the booked hotel room expires the following day at 9 am local time. A € 30 handling fee per person will be charged for changes in hotel reservations.

The revieiwing process will start and notification of abstract submission will be given via email in February 2015.

Oral Presentations

Computer projection facilities (PowerPoint presentations) will be available in all meeting rooms. MCI will provide further information prior to the congress.

Poster Presentations

Selected posters will be discussed. Posters should be prepared in portrait format, in English language. MCI will provide further information prior to the congress.

Registration

Please note that the acceptance of your abstract does not include congress registration. At least one author (the first or the presenting author) are therefore kindly asked to register for the congress. The abstract will otherwise not be reviewed and waived from the scientific committee. Authors must select one category from the above list that best describes the content of their abstract. This category will be used for reviewing and indexing purposes.
