SAM Keypad Rental Information

In order to better accommodate the expanded SAM program, SIR offers the opportunity to reserve your SAM audience response system (ARS) keypad during the registration process for $25 pre-meeting and $50 on-site. All keypads will be available for pick up at registration and provide you the opportunity to attend as many SAM sessions as you would like throughout the meeting, avoid long check-in lines prior to the SAM sessions, and allow for one convenient pick-up and drop-off location.



SAM keypads will not be available outside of the session room before each session, so please make sure to reserve yours during registration. 

 



SAM Accreditation

This program will be approved for up to 25.5 SAM credits by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) – pending approval. SIR is awarded Deemed Status by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). This educational activity meets the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

 



SA-CME Credit

The SIR 2016 Digital Video Library provides nearly 250 hours of SA-CME credit toward fulfilling MOC requirements. Watch feature-rich, streaming videos from SIR 2016 and complete post-session tests to earn credit. USB drives are available for offline viewing. Requirements for non US visitors entering Canada:

Persons visiting from countries other than the United States must have a valid passport and may require other documentation such as visas. Check with the nearest Canadian Consulate well in advance of travel.  To receive a letter to assist you in obtaining a visa, please email AnnualMeeting@SIRweb.org. You may also request a letter of invitation during online registration.


Are you traveling with a child under 18 years of age to Canada?


Foreign officials and transportation companies are vigilant concerning documentation for children crossing international borders. Generally, any individual younger than 18 years of age could be considered a child. Unless a child is accompanied by both legal parents, the following documentation should be carried by the child or the accompanying adult:

•   A valid passport or proof of citizenship for the child.

•   A legal document proving that the child has the permission of the lawful parent (s) or guardian(s) to travel and includes contact phone information for the parent(s) or guardian(s). Such a document must be specific for each trip.

Welcome to the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Scientific Meeting Abstract Submission Site

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) invites authors to submit abstracts for the upcoming SIR 2016 Meeting, April 2- 7, 2016, in Vancouver, BC.


Abstract Submission begins Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 9:00 AM EDT

Abstract Submission closes Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 5:00 PM EDT

Presenting authors of accepted submissions must register for and present their work at the meeting. This stipulation applies to both oral and poster presentations.

If your abstract is accepted, it will be published in SIR’s flagship Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR) and will be a citable reference.  The Annual Scientific Committee and JVIR’s editorial office strongly encourages you to submit your full manuscript for publication in JVIR.  Article submission information will be provided in your abstract acceptance notification.
