K. Bailey Freund, MD

Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, NYU

Dr. Freund is a leading Innovator in Premium IOL Implant Surgery.

He is a graduate of Williams College and the New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in general ophthalmology and fellowship in medical and surgical retina at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.

Dr. Freund is a member of the Retina Society, Macula Society, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.


Michael S. Ip, MD

Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, UCLA

Lectures:

Dr. Ip is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine in 1993. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh and his vitreoretinal fellowship at New England Center, Tufts University.

Dr. Ip is the author of hundreds of articles in leading professional journals and books. He is also known for his finely honed talks to national and international audiences of his peers. He is a principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several multi-million dollar national research enterprises where he and his colleagues work to better define therapies that will improve vision in patients with diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other diseases.


Lee M. Jampol, MD

Professor of Ophthalmology, Northwestern

Lectures:

Dr. Lee Jampol is an ophthalmologist in Chicago, Illinois and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is one of 30 doctors at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center and one of 83 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital who specialize in Ophthalmology.  Dr. Jampol was awarded Regional Top Doctor in 2014.

Carl D. Regillo, MD

Professor & Director of Retina Service, Wills Eye Hospital

Lectures:

Dr. Regillo is a graduate of Northeastern University, College of Pharmacy, where he was the class Valedictorian. He received his medical doctor degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital where he was awarded a prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Fellowship.  After formal training, he served four years in the military as a vitreoretinal surgeon stationed at the San Diego Naval Medical Center. 

Dr. Regillo is a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Achievement and Senior Achievement Awards in addition to the Secretariat Award.   He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Retina Society, The Macula Society, The American Society of Retina Specialists, Society of Heed Fellows, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, and Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmologic Society of which he was past-President. He has been listed through the years as a retina “Top Doc” in Philadelphia Magazine, South Jersey Magazine and Main Line Today.


Michael W. Stewart, MD

Lectures:

Michael W. Stewart, MD is a Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. For the past 7 years, Dr. Stewart has also served as Chairman of the Mayo Clinic Facilities Planning Committee where he heads the institution's construction projects and maintenance services.
