It is our great pleasure to invite you to The 5th WFNS Spine Committee Biennial Conference of WFNS which will be held at Bali, Indonesia between October 25th - 27th, 2018.
WFNS scientific committees try to contribute to the education and progress of subdisciplines of neurosurgery. Spine surgery is getting a high interest and Spine Committee Symposia every two years are the largest activity of the committee. I am happy to invite you to Bali, Indonesia to endorse activities in this part of the world. This meeting will be in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of Indonesian Neurological Society, Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress. On October 25, a one-day cadaver dissection course will be held in Surabaya.
The meeting aims to reach a large number of audience, thus contribute to the spine education in this area more effectively. There will be “intense”, and full of excellent lectures from prominent experts, results of implementation of new procedures, case discussions, debate sessions, video demonstrations, and workshops from industry.
The location of our congress is Bali island, one of the most beautiful and exotic place of the world. We really hope that it will endow us with many precious and long-lasting memories to cherish.

It is truly an honor for us to inform you that The 5th WFNS Spine Committee Biennial Conference will be held from October 25th to 27th, 2018 in BNDCC, Convention Centre, Bali, Indonesia, with the theme “Meeting Challenges, Facing the Future”. This Conference start with one full day cadaveric Spine workshop that covers various Spine Surgery procedures on October 25th 2018, held in Airlangga University, Surabaya Indonesia.
The conference will be conjunctioned with The 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Neurosurgical Society (INS), The 12th Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress (AESC) and The 2nd International Fujita Bantane Interim Meeting of Neurosurgery.
Throughout the conference days we will also held the medical exhibition that will show case the latest medical technology in neurosurgery.
Please kindly be inform that aside from Spine and Epilepsy we will also covers various topic in Neurosurgery. We will be very happy to accept your abstract(s) to be presented either in e-poster or oral presentation. Guidelines and General Information for Journal Publication and Abstract Submission “YOU NEED TO BE REGISTERED AS a DELEGATE OF WFNS Spine, INS, AESC and Fujita Bantane FOR SUBMISSION.
Topic for abstracts of free paper and poster presentation must be relevant to Neurosurgery.
Please kindly pay attention to following guideline
1. IMPORTANT GUIDELINES of ABSTRACT and JOURNAL PUBLICATION
There are two types of presentation: Poster & Oral presentation (podium). Please select one of them. Please indicate your choice in the top corner of your abstract: Oral Presentation or Poster.
Committee will decide on the final presentation type (oral presentation or Poster)
The abstracts should be within 300 words (maximum half A-4 size page) and the entire submission must it on a single page
Please Note: graphs/tables/images should not to be included the abstract
Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word Arial 12” point with single line spacing, type face with the title in bold face
It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author
The abstract should have a short specific title (containing no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the investigation. Title should be in boldface font. The title should not exceed 20 words in UPPERCASE only.

For online submission of abstract and for guidelines please log on to www.wfns-ins-aesc.org abstract Submission Or send via email with attached Microsoft word file to firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline in order to be sent for review and approval prior to its inclusion in the scientific program.
Last date for submission an abstract is Monday, August 1st, 2018
Notification of acceptance of abstracts submitted will be sent by e-mail at the latest by Friday, August 17th, 2018
Abstract Guidelines (300 Words Or Half Page of A4 Size Page)
Background/Rationale: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the hypothesis that was tested or a description of the problem being analyzed or evaluated
Methods: Describe the setting/location for the study design, study population, data collection and methods of analyst issued
Results: Present as clearly and detailed as possible the findings/outcome of the study, with specific results in summarized form. Inclusion of gender break down of data is strongly encouraged
Findings or Conclusion: briefly discuss the data and main outcome of the study. Do not begin Sentences with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition
3. Instructions for the preparation of oral presentations
When combining video films with Power Point for oral presentation, please note the following points:
Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are beings applied with Windows7 and Office 2013
Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIFF or PICT-these images will not be visible on a Power Point based PC) Use a common movie format, such as MP4 and WMV (MOV files from Quick Time will not be visible on a Power Point based PC).
Presenter cannot use his or her own laptop.
Please submit the presentation file at Slide Counter at the latest 3 hours before presentation time
Equipment Supplied: LCD Projector hooked up to a desktop or laptop, laser pointer.
Please note that the conference desktop or laptop are being supplied with Windows7 and Microsoft Office 2013.
Bring your presentation on USB jump/flash drive or CD
English is the official of the conference and will be used for slide presentation and discussion.
4. Instructions for the preparation of Poster:
The posters should be self-contained and self-explanatory. They should be kept simple and clear, with a mixture of text and graphics, arranged in columns rather than in rows.
All posters need to be in upright format and sized A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm; or 33.1 inches x 46.8 inches). Please make sure that your poster does not exceed this size.
Poster titles and headings should be short, effective and easy to read. Titles should be 50 point in size; author and institutional information should have a font size of 30 points.
Only little text should be used, with clear format and separated paragraphs. Any text should be 25 points in size. The poster should contain a brief introduction and conclusion, highlight the research questions and key results.
Tables/Figures should be visible from a distance. This can be accomplished by using clear, visible graphics and large font size (at least 25 points). Each figure or table should have a brief heading.
At the conference, the posters will be mounted on provided poster boards. All necessary mounting materials will be provided. You will receive your exact poster location and display dates when you check in at the conference registration desk.
