We welcome you to the website of the 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences 2016 is scheduled to be held on 14 – 16 December, 2016 following the Award Ceremony. In this term of 2015-2016, the conference will focus on the selected subjects Gastroenterology, Liver Disorders, Colon Disorders and Pancreatic Diseases and the theme for this term is Gastroenterology.
This Conference is organized by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences and, in this conference, the winners and other scientific pioneers in the chosen field present their state of the art lectures. Every term, the topics as well as the speakers are selected from the same field of subjects to present their findings. The speakers are always selected from the top class scientists from the selected field of science.
The Pre-Conference Workshop on the first day i.e. Wednesday 14th December,2016 will be an interactive session in a classroom where the participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to the presenter around the topic presented. This workshop will have a maximum attendance of 60 participants. There will be a total of 11 different workshops divided in four sessions during each there workshop will be run in parallel. These workshops will be led by the international experts in the theme of the conference. The latest best practices and medical breakthroughs discussed will increase the participants’ awareness and encourage the adoption of the latest investigations and treatment protocols.
We expect an attendance of more than 500 participants. Online registration is available on this website.

- Affiliation details: position (medical student, intern, resident, attending, etc.), year if training (if applicable), department, medical school/ institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
- Acknowledgement of the funding source
- Abstract Categories and Topics - Abstracts must be allocated to a specific category and topic area for the Scientific Program. You will need to select the category most suited to your abstract from the following categories: Gastroenterology (Liver, Pancreas and Colon).
- Abstract title - in UPPER CASE, limited to 150 characters including spaces
- Abstract text – limited to 350 words, including acknowledgements.
- Abstracts should be structured, and prepared as follows:
- Background and aims
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- Use Times New Roman or Arial font, size 11 or 12.
- Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word appears the first time.
- Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.
Non compliance with these guidelines will lead to rejection of the abstract.
- Please note that abstracts must be submitted before the deadline of 31th October 2016 in order to be sent for review.
- The presenting author is expected to attend the conference and present the poster.
- The submitting and presenting authors are required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
- When submitting the abstract, all the following statements are required to be included at the end of the abstract:
- The submitting author confirms that he/she has previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. He/she accepts that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and is aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
- Submission of the abstract constitutes consent to publication (e.g. conference website, conference proceedings, etc.)
- The submitting author guarantees that the publication of the abstract/poster does not infringe any third party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.
- The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
- The submitting author herewith confirms that the contact details saved in this system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
- Missing these statements will lead to rejection of the abstract.
