Event Overview
Welcome message:

VIVA is the premier global, multidisciplinary course for vascular intervention and medicine.

For the past 13 years, VIVA has defined excellence in professional education by offering attendees an innovative, provocative, and balanced educational experience, enhanced by: highlighting the opinions of all specialties and stakeholders who touch the vascular patient, the use of cutting edge technology, and the promotion of electronic interaction between participants and faculty experts.

Each year, our world-renowned domestic and international faculty challenge attendees by critically evaluating evolving therapies and new innovations as well as engaging in lively discussion on the year’s most challenging cases. VIVA participants learn from one another in an environment that truly supports camaraderie.  VIVA does not shy away from the tough issues, and with our colleagues from regulatory and reimbursement organizations, VIVA exposes the obstacles facing vascular practitioners to provide state-of-the-art care to their patients.

With multiple learning venues and formats, intense and focused education, the latest in cutting-edge technology, new hands-on workshops and the latest clinical data presentations, VIVA 15 is a must-see educational event for the dedicated vascular specialist.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for this CME activity is physicians who specialize in, among other areas, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular medicine, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology, as well as fellows, and allied health professionals (including nurses, vascular clinic staff, endovascular operating room staff, catheterization laboratory and angiography suite staff, nurse practitioners, vascular technologists, and physician assistants).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of VIVA 15, the targeted learners should be able to:

To provide physicians with tools to measure the quality of their care and identify opportunities for improvement for patients with peripheral artery disease.

Understand the risk factors and appreciate the specific indications for diagnostic testing to evaluate patients with or at risk for stroke.

Increase awareness and understanding of the complete spectrum of interventional therapies for the treatment of patients with aortic diseases.

Identify the opportunities to improve outcomes using endovascular and surgical options for patients with acute and chronic venous thromboembolic disorders.

Appreciate the emerging treatment strategies for patients with advanced PAD and critical limb ischemia.

Understand evolving diagnosis and treatment strategies from the latest clinical data reported from recently completed “late breaking” clinical trials.
