It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the Gulf Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Third Clinical Congress and the Gulf Chapter Annual Meeting to be held in JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai, United Arab Emirates during the period 29-31 October, 2015

Building on your contribution to the success of the first and second editions of the Clinical Congress and the Gulf Chapter Annual Meetings, we are delighted to welcome you in the bustling metropolitan city of Dubai. The 2015 edition has taken a graceful step towards the international arena in order to deliver a higher calibre meeting. The scientific committee has therefore compiled a rich and versatile program with plenty of educational opportunities in the growing and exciting field of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Through a culmination of collective efforts, an outstanding three-day program was designed to deliver a high-level scientific content with major updates and state of the art lectures, plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations, clinical debates and clinical practice symposia. The sessions will cover major updates and state-of-the art presentations delivered by reputable international and regional keynote speakers.

In addition to an exciting clinical conference, we are also delighted this year to invite delegates to participate in multiple educational opportunities during the AACE Gulf Chapter Pre-Conference events which includes an exclusive two-day comprehensive case-based review course on all major aspects of Endocrinology and Metabolism which will provide ample opportunities for interactive sessions between the participants and several renown international and national faculty. The scientific program has furthermore been extended with a one-day dedicated workshop for allied health professionals to enhance their individual roles in endocrine care. Building on last year success, we are also offering our popular full day introductory Neck Ultrasound Course covering theoretical basis and hands-on sessions on neck ultrasonography for clinicians. The tutors of this course are AACE ultrasound experts and the course is accredited towards the AACE Certification Program, ECNU.

All submitted abstracts must be in English

All submitted abstracts need to have the names and surnames of all co-authors, along with their positions in their affiliated institutions

All submitted abstracts must not exceed 250 words with no use of abbreviations

The body of the abstract should be arranged according to the following headings:

Background/objectives: a brief introduction, which states the problem that you are addressing as well as some background information on the issue

Design and methods: the methodologies, number of test subjects and scientific approach used to conduct the research

Results: tables and graphs should include explanatory captions

Conclusions: further areas of research and overall conclusion of the research

Citation: a reference list and acknowledgments, if applicable
