This course is designed to provide participants with the most up-to-date information, including diagnostic and surgical techniques as well as technological and pharmacological advances in the field of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). This course will present practical application of diagnostic and treatment options for female pelvic medicine disorders. Emphasis will be placed on proper surgical selection and techniques based on the available evidence base and the experience of our faculty. Lead by board-certified FPMRS faculty, this comprehensive course emphasizes a multi disciplinary approach to treating women with FPMRS conditions and will cover advanced diagnosis and treatment (behavioral, medical, pharmacological, and surgical) of common and not so common conditions.

Educational Objectives

 

After participating in this activity, clinicians should be able to:

Integrate different conservative and surgical treatment strategies to provide individualized and cost effective care to women with stress incontinence

Consider all available surgical options to treat pelvic organ prolapse and select the best option for their patients

Evaluate the current indications for the use of anti-muscarinic and beta3 agonist agents, botulinum toxin and various forms of neuromodulation in the treatment of overactive bladder and urinary incontinence

Formulate diagnostic and treatment algorithms for various FPMRS conditions that provide optimal care with cost savings

Collaborate with their colleagues in FPMRS-related fields to provide multidisciplinary care to optimize outcomes

Target Audience

 

Board certified and eligible FPMRS physicians, as well as urologists, gynecologists, colorectal surgeons, residents, fellows and advanced practice providers
